How do dermal fillers work?
The volumizing fillers that we offer at Germain Dermatology deliver a smoother, more youthful appearance to your cheeks, cheekbones, and chin in as little as 15 to 30 minutes. While Juvéderm® and Radiesse® add volume with Hyaluronic acid and stimulate collagen production, Sculptra® targets the deep dermis, providing a foundation for a fuller, more youthful look with poly-L-lactic acid.
What do dermal fillers treat?
Dermal fillers can provide structure and volume to the cheeks, temples, under-eye area, nasolabial folds, chin/jaw, and marionette lines. They can also be used to perform a liquid lip, nose, or cheek augmentation.

How should I prepare for filler treatments?
Arrive at the office with a fresh, clean face. No makeup, please.
What can I expect during the dermal fillers procedure?
A topical anesthetic will be applied to the areas to be injected. There is also an anesthetic in each syringe of filler. You may experience some redness, swelling, and bruising after your treatment; because of this, arrange major social events at least two weeks after your treatment date. Patients normally report bruising lasting up to two weeks after their injections. Many patients schedule a complimentary V-Beam laser treatment after the procedure, which will help the bruising to resolve more quickly. Avoid self-tanners in the days before your Juvéderm® or other dermal filler treatments in case lasers are needed.
