Tannette Knox is a certified Physician Assistant who received her undergraduate degree from California State University Long Beach in psychology, her master’s in physician assistant studies from Medical University of South Carolina, and ultimately her doctorate in medical science from Butler University. Her professional memberships include the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA), the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (SDPA), and South Carolina Academy of Physician Assistants (SCAPA).

Tannette has experience as an aesthetician and worked in plastic surgery and dermatology while pursuing her goal as a physician assistant. She also worked as a surgical PA in a six-month dermatology fellowship while completing her doctorate.

Tannette was born and raised in California and now lives in the Pawleys Island area with her husband, four children and many pets. Outside of work, Tannette loves to travel and spend time with family and friends. With her kind, caring and excellent skillset, Tannette will provide excellent dermatological care for the entire family in the Pawley’s Island location.

 

Born and raised in southern California, Tannette Knox received her undergraduate degree from California State University Long Beach in psychology. Tannette became an esthetician and worked in plastic surgery and dermatology while in California. After having a family and moving to South Carolina in 2016, she continued her education in medicine, and graduated from the Medical University of South Carolina, with her Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies. She studied as a SDPA Diplomate Fellow and served as class representative on the executive board for the South Carolina Association of Physician Assistants. Tannette then worked as a surgical PA in a six-month dermatology fellowship in Charlotte before completing her Doctorate in Medical Science at Butler University in 2024.

Tannette Knox is known to be kind and caring, and her goal is to provide excellent care by building relationships with each of her patients. She shows dedication and commitment to dermatology through continued education on current and upcoming treatments and technologies at conferences and seminars. Her professional memberships include the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA), the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (SDPA), and South Carolina Academy of Physician Assistants (SCAPA).

Tannette Knox will be practicing in the Pawleys Island location. She enjoys living by the beach with her husband, four children, and many pets. Outside of work Tanette loves to travel and spend time with family and friends.
